MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – At 14-1-4 overall this season, the No. 17 Wildcats roll into the Big Ten Tournament Semifinals on Friday, Nov. 7, to take on No. 25 Rutgers Scarlet Knights at 4:30 p.m. CT with a berth in the Big Ten Championship on the line.

The game will be broadcast live on Big Ten Network in St. Paul, Minnesota.
 
Northwestern ended the regular season as Co-Big Ten Champions along with Penn State and Big Ten Tournament host Minnesota. Chicago's Big Ten Team prevailed in penalty kicks against Nebraska last Sunday to advance to tomorrow's semifinal game.
 
Six members of the Northwestern women's soccer team collected conference hardware, the Big Ten announced last week.
 
Junior Lauren Clem led the way for the Wildcats, earning All-Big Ten First Team and was named the Big Ten Goalkeeper of the Year – the first in Northwestern history.
 
Additionally, sophomore Kayla Sharples joined her teammate with her first All-Big Ten First Team honor, sophomore Marisa Viggiano was named to the All-Big Ten Second Team, while fifth-year senior Nandi Mehta and junior Kassidy Gorman were recognized on the All-Big Ten Third Team. Mehta was also recognized as the Big Ten Sportsmanship Award honoree.
 
Maddy Lucas was named to Big Ten All-Freshman Team to become the second-straight Wildcat to earn the nod.
 
SCOUTING RUTGERS
• No. 7-seed Rutgers advanced to the Big Ten semifinals following a 2-0 win over No. 2-seed Penn State
• The Scarlet Knights' appearance in the semifinals is their second in a row. RU advanced to the tourney final last year and is 3-2 all-time at the Big Ten Tournament.
• Rutgers returned to the NSCAA Rankings this week at No. 25RU is 3-0-1 this season vs. NSCAA ranked opponents. Northwestern is the fifth ranked opponent RU will play this season.
• Senior Madison Tiernan is RU's points leader (24) on the year. Three of Tiernan's eight goals this season were game-winners. Tiernan is seventh on Rutgers' all-time points list with 62 (23g, 16a) and tied for eighth on the all-time goal list with 23 in her career.

EN ROUTE TO THE BIG TEN TOURNAMENT
The Wildcats secured a share of the Big Ten regular-season title after deafting Illinois in overtime, 1-0, to mark the first conference championships in program history. This is the third-straight Big Ten Tournament appearance for Northwestern.
 
#B1GCATS WIN FIRST-EVER BIG TEN TITLE
No. 17 Northwestern clinched a share of the Big Ten Championship for the first time in program history with a golden goal to defeat Illinois, 1-0, last week at Martin Stadium. Sophomore Kayla Sharples scored the game winner for the 'Cats on a wild play after a corner kick in the 98th minute. The Wildcats moved to 14-1-3 overall and tied the program-record for most regular season wins, set in 1998 by head coach Marcia McDermott.
