EVANSTON, Ill. – The No. 7-ranked Northwestern Wildcats travel to Detroit, Mich. on Friday to fence in the four-day USFA North American Cup.

Northwestern is sending 26 fencers to the October iteration of the NAC. The 'Cats will compete against the top fencers in the country in individual competition with around 200 fencers in each weapon group.

In each weapon group, individuals will compete in five-touch bouts in pool play, before being seeded into a knockout tournament with 15-touch bouts.

The Wildcats are coming off a strong showing at home in the Remenyik Open last weekend where Stella Pointeau and Cindy Oh both medalled in their individual weapon group competitions.

Last season at the October NAC, senior Alisha Gomez-Shah finished 19th in sabre competition while senior Sarit Kapon, junior Sacha Bazzal, senior Cindy Oh, and junior Michelle Lee all added top-50 finishes.

Fans can follow the 'Cats this weekend as they compete against the best in the nation here.
