EVANSTON, Ill. — Northwestern sophomore Olivia Rosendahl has been named the Big Ten Diver of the Week, the league office announced Wednesday afternoon.

A season after becoming the first diver in program history to earn All-American honors, Rosendah picked up right where she left off by breaking the 1-meter Myers-McLoraine Pool record at Chicago with a score of 314.18 and scored a 308.03 on the 3-meter to claim both events in the Wildcats' season opener.

This marks the second Big Ten Diver of the Week honor of Rosendahl's career. She was named the Big Ten Freshman of the Week six times last season.

Rosendahl's two victories in the diving competitions helped the Wildcats start the season 3-0 with wins over Chicago, UIC and Olivet Nazarene. The 'Cats are back in action this Saturday at the Norris Aquatic Center in a Big Ten Triple Dual versus Rutgers and in-state foe Illinois. The meet is set to begin at 1 p.m.
