BETWEEN THE PIPES

Junior Lauren Clem has been a solid presence for the Wildcats' defense this year, playing every minute of the 2016 season. So far this year, she has recorded 10 clean sheets, allowing just five goals in 14 games. The last timeout on the road, Clem anchored a unit that defended 28 total shots and 17 corners en route to a scoreless draw against Ohio State, good for the squad's NCAA-leading ninth shutout of the year. She earned the Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year honor for her efforts. The 'Cats returned home and strung together a 2-0 weekend with wins against Michigan State and then-No. 19 Michigan.

NU's five goals allowed (.349) per game rank first in the Big Ten and third in the NCAA.

Against Indiana State, the Stevensville, Michigan, native recorded a program record with her 25th career shutout. Clem now has 32-career cleansheets.

BALANCED ATTACK
Fourteen Wildcats have registered goals so far this year. Sophomore Brenna Lovera leads NU with 12 points (6g, 0a) in 10 matches, while junior Kassidy Gorman has reigstered four goals in 14 games for the #B1GCats.
