Wildcats Tee Off Mason Rudolph Championship Friday In Tennessee

FRANKLIN, TENN. -- After a Top-2 finish to open the season last weekend in Albuquerque, the Wildcats head south to the 15th Annual Mason Rudolph Women's Golf Championships hosted by Vanderbilt University at The Legends Club.

The Mason Rudolph Championship features a top-flight field of 17 teams, including seven of the Top-25 programs from the end of the 2015 season. Northwestern, ranked 12th in the Golfweek 2015 preseason rankings and 13th at the end of the 2014-15 campaign, will take on the host Commodores, ranked 19th at the end of the 2015 season as well as Alabama (25), Auburn, GRU-Augusta, Baylor (14), UCF, Georgia, Houston, LSU (11), Louisville, Michigan State, MTSU, South Carolina (6), Tulane, Virginia (15), and Yale.
Eighteen holes will take place on Friday through Sunday, with fixed tee times on number one and 10 starting at 8 a.m. CT on Friday and Saturday and 7:30 a.m. CT Sunday. The tournament will take place on the South Course and will be formatted as a par-72, 6,321-yard setup. Each team will play five golfers with four counting towards the team score in each round, while Northwestern's lineup will also feature one golfer competing as an individual (not eligible for the team score).
Northwestern's quintet will be sophomore Sarah Cho, who won the season-opening Dick McGuire Invitational last weekend, classmate Hannah Kim, freshman Stephanie Lau, junior Kacie Komoto and senior Suchaya Tangkamolprasert, while senior Kaitlin Park will compete as an individual.
