SANT JULIA DE VILATORTA, Spain –
Northwestern concluded its men's basketball exhibition tour of Spain on Sunday evening by posting a 70-44 victory over USA Toulouges. With the win, the Wildcats wrapped up their trip with four wins in five contests.

Tre Demps led the 'Cats with 23 points, while Aaron Falzon scored 16 points and Scottie Lindsey added 13.

Demps picked up right where he left off on Saturday night. After racking up 38 points in NU's victory the previous evening, Demps scored each of NU's first seven points. However, the 'Cats had a tough time breaking away from their opponent.

The score was tied at 14 before Aaron Falzon and Demps closed out the first quarter with back-to-back 3-pointers, giving Northwestern a 20-14 lead after 10 minutes of play.

The advantage was only two, 25-23, when the Wildcats' young guns took over. NU finished the stanza on a 14-4 run to take a 39-27 lead into the intermission. All 14 points during the run were scored by freshmen or sophomores.

Demps paced the 'Cats with 13 first-half points. With center Alex Olah on the bench for the majority of the half due to foul trouble, Northwestern got solid contributions off the bench from freshman Dererk Pardon who tallied 5 points in the second quarter.

Neither team could get much offense going in the third quarter as each team tallied only nine points. Northwestern maintained its 12-point lead heading into the final stanza, 48-36.

The 'Cats finally got things going from behind the arch in the fourth quarter to pull away. After USA Toulouges made the first basket of the period, Demps nailed a triple and Falzon hit a pair to increase the lead to 19.

Two more 3-pointers by Scottie Lindsey gave NU five in the quarter to help the Wildcats pull away.
