Northwestern, BTN Announce Fall Stream Schedule
8/13/2015 2:17:00 PM | Men's Soccer, Women's Soccer, Women's Volleyball, Field Hockey
EVANSTON, Ill. -- Northwestern fans will be able to catch more than two dozen non-televised Wildcats games online this fall, thanks to a comprehensive streaming schedule released Thursday. Games will be available on both NUSports.com and BTN2Go.
The Wildcats' volleyball team leads the way with 18 contests scheduled to stream live, including the team's entire home campaign from Welsh-Ryan Arena. Field hockey, men's soccer and women's soccer will also have games available throughout the fall.
As part of the coverage Studio N - the newly named video production arm of Northwestern athletics - is introducing a new streaming platform with enhanced coverage for fans including DVR-functionality and archived games available to watch almost immediately following the conclusion of the live event. Subscription options include a 24-hour pass that grants access to live and archived events for just $3.95, as well as other package options. More information about Studio N's live coverage can be found here.
The Big Ten Network's BTN Plus subscription returns for 2015-16, offering fans the ability to watch live streams through the BTN2Go app or at BTN2Go.com without requiring users to authenticated with a cable or satellite package to access the content. BTN subscribers who already use the BTN2Go app will still need to purchase a subscription to watch games streamed with BTN Plus. Northwestern students and other on campus users have complimentary access to BTN Plus and BTN2Go when logged in to a campus network, courtesy of BTN.
Northwestern's streaming coverage will kick off on Friday, September 18th when women's soccer travels to Purdue (6 p.m. CT/BTN Plus) and volleyball hosts Lipscomb in its home opener (7 p.m. CT/Studio N Live). Complete information on which games will be streamed and links to watch specific events are being compiled on sport schedule pages on NUSports.com. The most complete television, internet and radio coverage information can always be found on Northwestern's On The Air page.
