Three Wildcats Set to Chase Gold at U19 World Championships

EVANSTON, Ill. — The Northwestern Lacrosse program will be well represented at the FIL Rathbones Women's 2015 U19 Lacrosse World Championships, to be held at the University of Edinburgh's Peffermill Playing Fields in Edinburgh, Scotland from July 23 to August 1.
Rising sophomore Selena Lasota, the 2015 Big Ten Freshman of the Year and IWLCA Second-Team All-American, will represent Team Canada while incoming Under Armour All-Americans Mallory Weisse and Claire Quinn will represent the United States as they seek their sixth U19 World Championship.
Both Team USA and Team Canada will open the tournament in Pool A with Australia, England and Wales. Pool play takes place from July 23 to July 28, with a rest day for all teams on July 27. The Championship bracket will begin on Wednesday, July 29 with the medal games being played on Friday, July 31 and Saturday, August 1. The two teams will meet in the first game of pool play on Thursday, July 23 at 11:30 a.m. CT.
All games will be streamed on the via a webcast at 247.tv.
