Miller and Vaziri to represent the Wildcats
EVANSTON, Ill. -- Two members of the Northwestern field hockey program have been selected to participate in the Young Women's National Championship June 22-26 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
Rising sophomores Sophia Miller and Charlotte Vaziri each were chosen from the top collegiate players in the nation to compete in the event.
The Young Women's National Championship serves as a high-level, international structured competition and the selection venue for the 2015-16 U.S. Women's Under-21 National Team.
Miller is slated to compete for the USA Patriots team, while Vaziri will play for the USA Freedom squad. A native of Medford, New Jersey, Miller started all 23 of the Wildcats' matches in the back as a true freshman in 2014. Vaziri, a New Albany, Ohio, native will be in her first season with NU this fall.
