EVANSTON, Ill. -- An offseason of hard work and preparation is behind the fifth-ranked Northwestern Lacrosse program as it's set to open its 2015 campaign versus USC Saturday afternoon. The non-conference tilt will be played at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum and is set to start at 5 p.m. CT.

The Wildcats and Trojans are meeting for the third-consecutive season. The 'Cats hold a 2-0 lead in the all-time series following a 12-7 win at Wrigley Field last season.

Single-Game and Season Tickets on Sale Now:
The Wildcats will host seven games at the friendly confines of Lakeside Field on the shore of Lake Michigan in 2015, including games versus Colorado, Syracuse, Maryland, Louisville, Penn, Penn State and Ohio State. Fans wishing to join the Wildcats on their quest for an eighth NCAA championship since 2005 may do so with the purchase of a 2015 season ticket package, which includes a reduced price off the cost of a single-game ticket as well as an exclusive season ticket holder gift.

Familiar Faces
Head Coach Kelly Amonte Hiller and her staff will open the season against a pair of familiar faces when they travel to Los Angeles to take on USC. The Women of Troy are led by former Northwestern star Lindsey Munday, while 2014 graduate and the NCAA's all-time leader in draw controls Alyssa Leonard was named an assistant coach/offensive coordinator on Aug. 25, 2014.

Kelly Amonte Hiller Adds No. 1 Recruiting Class
The Wildcats welcomed 14 freshman in the offeseason that made up the No. 1-ranked recruiting class in the nation according to Lacrosse Magazine. The class features two of the top four ranked players in the country and five of the top 17, including Selena Lasota (No. 3), Shelby Fredericks (No. 4), Emily Stein (No. 13), Olivia Harpel (No. 14) and Corinne Wessels (No. 17).

No Road For the Weary
The Wildcats will be tested early and often in 2015 as the schedule features 11 of the top 20 teams in the country according to Lacrosse Magazine, including the top three in Maryland, North Carolina and Syracuse. NU will look to extend lengthy winning streaks versus Penn State (18), Virginia (8), Penn (8) and Rutgers (7) while navigating through the arduous schedule.

Mupo Ready to Lead in Senior Campaign
Named a Big Ten Player to Watch and preseason second-team All American, senior Kara Mupo is set to lead the Wildcats offense in 2015. The Miller Place, N.Y., native returns as the 'Cats leader in goals (40) and points (50) from a season ago and is just two goals shy of 100 for her career.

In The Cage
Senior Bridget Bianco returns for her third season as the Wildcats' starter as one of the best goalkeepers in the country. Bianco earned third-team All-America honors as a sophomore and was one of the final 25 nominees for the Tewaaraton Award last season. She ranked in the top 15 nationally in goals-against average in 2013 (fifth/7.63) and 2014 (11th/8.15).
