Evanston, Ill. —The Big Ten Network announced its television schedule for the inaugural men's and women's lacrosse seasons Thursday.
The Northwestern women's lacrosse program will be featured four times on the BTN, tied for the most of any team in the conference.
The 'Cats will play non-conference contests on the BTN when they host No. 3 Syracuse (3/22) and No. 13 Louisville (3/29). The first ever lacrosse game in Big Ten history between No. 1 Maryland and the Wildcats will be played on the network on March 26 and Northwestern will also be featured when it travels to Michigan April 2.
BTN will provide unprecedented coverage of women's lacrosse, televising a total of 15 games, including the Big Ten Tournament semifinals.
Fans that wish to watch the fast-paced action of the 'Cats live in person can purchase a season ticket package now. Packages are just $39 and include a season-ticket holder gift.
Leading BTN's coverage is a group of analysts that includes Mark Dixon, who played lacrosse at Johns Hopkins, has covered NCAA Men's lacrosse for 18 seasons; Greg Bice, a former lacrosse standout at Ohio State and first overall selection in the 2006 MLL draft; and Courtney Connor, who played at Maryland, coached at Mount St. Mary's and has also served as a TV analyst. Joining them in the booth will be play-by-play announcers Joe Beninati, Mike Wolf and Pete Medhurst.
