EVANSTON, Ill. -- Northwestern women's soccer will host a pair of 2014 NCAA Tournament teams, including the reigning Missouri Valley Conference champions, at Lakeside Field during a six-game spring schedule announced today.

Head coach Michael Moynihan's Wildcats finished the 2014 campaign on a 5-1-2 run highlighted by a win over No. 6 Penn State in the Big Ten Tournament. The `Cats return eight of their top-nine goalscorers from last season, led by leading scorer Addie Steiner (10G, 21pts), as well as starting goaltender Lauren Clem (9 shutouts).

Northwestern will kick off the slate in Kentucky on Saturday, March 7, at 12 p.m. CT, when they take on the Louisville Cardinals in the team's only road tilt on the schedule.

The Wildcats then return home for five matches against NCAA competition before wrapping up the spring campaign with the annual Alumni Game.

The action at Lakeside Field begins with the Chicago Cup on Sunday, April 12. Northwestern will open the day at 12 p.m. against the Loyola Ramblers, with a matchup of DePaul and UIC to follow at 1:45 p.m. The losing squads from those two games will match up at 4 p.m. with the winners going head-to-head at 5:30 p.m. to close a full day of action on the shore of Lake Michigan.

DePaul went 16-1-4 last season, compiling an unblemished regular-season before falling to Wisconsin in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. UIC is one of two opponents on the spring schedule that Northwestern faced in 2014, with the Wildcats earning a 6-0 victory over the Flames.

Five days later Northwestern will host Marquette under the lights at Lakeside Field on Friday, April 17, at 7 p.m. The `Cats and Eagles matched up early in the 2014 season with Northwestern earning a 1-0 road victory over the then-No. 15 Marquette in Milwaukee thanks to Steiner's first strike of a ten-goal season.

The Wildcats welcome the 2014 Missouri Valley Conference champions, Illinois State, on Sunday, April 26 at 1 p.m. The Redbirds won nine straight matches down the stretch last season before falling to Pepperdine in the second-round of the NCAA Tournament. Northwestern will wrap up the exhibition schedule with a match against DePaul on Saturday, May 2, at 3 p.m., and with the Alumni Game on Saturday, May 9 at 11:30 a.m.
