Wildcats Ranked No. 5 in Nike/LM Preseason Poll

EVANSTON, Ill. -- Seven-time NCAA champion Northwestern has been ranked No. 5 in the Nike/Lacrosse Magazine Division I Women's Preseason Top 20.
The Wildcats, who last won a national title in 2012 and have reached the NCAA semifinals in each of the last 10 seasons, will be tested early and often in 2015 as 11 of their 16 opponents are ranked in the publication's top 20.
Reigning NCAA champion and B1G foe Maryland earned the top spot, while North Carolina, Syracuse and Florida rounded out the top five.
