June 3, 2014

A season that culminated in Northwestern's 10th consecutive appearance in the NCAA semifinals hardly resembled the nine that preceded it, save for the undeniable resiliency and never-say-die attitude typical of a Kelly Amonte Hiller-coached team. Counted out after a handful of narrow regular-season defeats, the Wildcats saw a season's worth of hard work pay off with an improbable overtime road win at No. 4 Florida in the NCAA quarterfinals, a victory that avenged two prior defeats to the Gators and extended the second-longest semifinal streak in Division I women's lacrosse history.

Click the video below to hear Amonte Hiller and junior Jess Carroll offer their thoughts on the year and their early outlook for what promises to be another thrilling ride in 2014-15.
