EVANSTON, Ill. -- Junior Rachel Weathered placed 11th in a field of 77 runners and Northwestern walked away with a third-place showing in Friday's Illini Open hosted by the University of Illinois.
It marked the second time this season that Weathered claimed top honors for the Wildcats in a 5K outing.

Northwestern was clipped in the team standings by a single point, placing third with 79 points behind Bradley's 78. Host Illinois claimed the team title with 25 points, while the 'Cats finished in front of Butler, Loyola, Purdue and Eastern Illinois.
Junior Megan O'Brien (19:03.3) and sophomore Ellen Schmitz (19:03.5) worked together on the course to each earn top-20 finishes, while freshman Sara Coffey was fifth overall for NU with a time of 19:09.2.
