EVANSTON, Ill. -- After opening the season Friday with a 20-point victory over Big Ten foe Illinois at the Norris Aquatics Center, Northwestern remains at home for a combined meet with the Wildcats men at 1 p.m. CT Saturday, Oct. 25, against both UIC and Oakland.

Northwestern's men separately opened the 2014-15 schedule last week with a dual at Eastern Michigan, which it won by a 161-139 tally. That gives both NU teams 1-0 records on the young season entering this weekend.
The Wildcats women got strong performances from members of various degrees of establishment among its youthful squad -- NU has just two seniors total on roster -- last week against the Illini. 2014 NCAA qualifier Lauren Abruzzo easily captured the 1,000 free, sophomore Ellen Stello leapt to the forefront when she went a career-best time in the 200 fly to win that event and freshman diver Monique Demaisip qualified for NCAA Zones already with a resounding win on the 1-meter board.
This home meet precedes the third-annual Breaststroke4BreastCancer from 6-7 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 29. Registration begins at 5 p.m. with the relay running for one hour from 6-7 p.m. All money raised goes to benefit the local Lynn Sage Cancer Research Foundation.
