NU Travels to South Bend for Shamrock Invite

EVANSTON, Ill. – The Northwestern women's swimming and diving team travels to South Bend, Ind. for the Shamrock Invitational Friday, Jan. 31 and Saturday, Feb. 1.
Hosted by Notre Dame, the Shamrock Invite features both the Irish men and women's swimming and diving teams along with both squads from Iowa and Incarnate Word in addition to Missouri State's men's team.
Familiar Matchups
The Wildcats women's squad will square off with Iowa, Incarnate Word and Notre Dame.
Earlier this season, NU fell 160-140 to Notre Dame in a meet that included Michigan and Rutgers at the Norris Aquatics Center on Jan. 11.
Familiar with the Hawkeyes, the Wildcats (6-6, 1-5) lost to Iowa 155-145 last time out, on Sat. Jan. 25 at home.
The Rundown
The Shamrock Invite begins Friday at 4:00 p.m. CT. Saturday's session on Feb. 1 begins at 9:00 a.m. CT, with the afternoon session starting at 4:00 p.m. CT.
Diving takes place with the men's 3-meter and women's 1-meter at the beginning of the meet, Friday at 4:00 p.m. CT.
On Saturday at 12:30 p.m. CT, the women's 3-meter and men's 1-meter continue the diving competition.

Up Next for the 'Cats
The Shamrock Invite is Northwestern's final regular season meet of the season. Up next for the 'Cats, NU will compete in the Big Ten Championships from Feb. 19 to Feb. 22, hosted by the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, Minn.
