EVANSTON, Ill. -- After leading Northwestern to a two-win weekend, senior attacker Erin Fitzgerald (Mt. Sinai, N.Y./Mt. Sinai) was named ALC Offensive Player of the Week for the second time in as many weeks and the third time this season.

Fitzgerald scored early and often on Friday night as the 'Cats took down No. 9 Duke with relative ease, 12-4. She tallied four consecutive first half goals and added one in the second period as Northwestern built a 7-0 halftime lead and never looked back. In the process, Fitzgerald became the 13th player in program history to tally 200 career points and also passed NU great Hannah Nielsen for ninth on the school's career goals scored list.

On Sunday, Fitzgerald found the net twice more in a 12-8 Northwestern victory over visiting Stanford. She leads the 'Cats with 46 goals on the year, good for eighth in the nation this season.

The ALC also honored Defensive Player of the Week Cosette Larash of Johns Hopkins University and Freshman of the Week Jenna Mosketti of Penn State University.

Fitzgerald and Northwestern return to action Saturday when they face third-ranked Florida in Gainesville. Opening draw is set for 11 a.m. CT.
