The seventh-ranked Wildcats will open the meet with a match against the Duke Blue Devils at 7:00 a.m. CT. Like Penn State, NU is yet to fence against Duke this season. In their last meeting, Northwestern toppled Duke at the 2012 NU Duals, 17-10.

After a bye in round two the next match will feature the highest-ranked opponent that NU will face at the meet in the form of Penn State at 9:30 a.m. The fifth-ranked Nittany Lions are 12-4 this season with all four losses coming to the top-four ranked teams in the country as designated by the CollegeFencing360.com Coaches poll.

After lunch the strips at approximately 12:00 p.m. to face the North Carolina Tar Heels. The Wildcats are quite familiar with UNC having faced them on Feb. 3 at the NU Duals. Northwestern cruised to a 22-5 victory in that recent affair.

MIT was also scheduled to attend the meet but travel complications related to the winter storm in the Northeast will prevent the Engineers from arriving in North Carolina this weekend. The Wildcats were to face MIT for the first time since 1999 on Sunday.
