Northwestern Announces Complete 2015, 2016 Football Schedules

Future Northwestern Football Schedules
EVANSTON, Ill. -- Northwestern Football's complete slate of opponents and game dates for the 2015 and 2016 campaigns have been confirmed, following Monday's announcement by the Big Ten Conference of future league schedules. The Wildcats will host seven home games at Ryan Field in both seasons.
Nonconference play over the two-year period sees Northwestern battle both Stanford and Duke in a pair of home-and-home series, and the 2015 season includes additional home dates against Eastern Illinois and Ball State. In 2016, the season will kick off at Ryan Field against Western Michigan before in-state foe Illinois State comes to Evanston on Sept. 10.
The 2015 conference campaign kicks off Saturday, Oct. 3, with a road trip to Iowa's Kinnick Stadium and is followed by the Big Ten home-opener against Minnesota on Oct. 10. Additional Big Ten home dates in 2015 are scheduled against non-divisional foe Purdue (Oct. 31) as well as Legends Division counterparts Michigan (Nov. 14) and Michigan State (Nov. 21).
In 2016, the Wildcats open conference play at home against Nebraska on Oct. 1 before playing three of the next four on the road, with the lone date at Ryan Field coming against Iowa on Oct. 22. Following an idle week, Northwestern hosts Indiana and travels to Michigan State before closing the season at home against Illinois.
