Brittany Mai (Poway, Calif./Poway) improved seven strokes Monday, finishing with a 1-under 71, one stroke off her career-low of 70. Mai began on the 12th hole and birded on holes 13 and 15 and had back-to-back birdies to close the round on holes 10 and 11. Through two rounds, Mai is tied for 20th with a 5-over 149.
