WILMINGTON, N.C. - Hurricane Sandy forced an early conclusion to the 11th annual Landfall Tradition in Wilmington, N.C. The 17 teams and five individuals enjoyed good weather during Friday's opening round before running into Sandy's rains and high winds yesterday and completing 9-12 holes in difficult conditions. The field was hoping to complete the second round early Sunday, but conditions warranted otherwise.

As a result, first-round scores were declared the final results and Northwestern finished in a tie for 10th in the 17-team field. Complete Northwestern results can be found below.

Oklahoma State won the tournament, finishing with a 293 score, one stroke in front of Duke and two strokes ahead of Purdue and Texas Tech.

Texas Tech senior Kim Kaufman was the medalist with a 5-under-par 67 in the first round, matching the tournament record for opening round score.

The Landfall Tradition was the final fall event for the Wildcats as their next competition is Feb. 10-12 at the Lady Puerto Rico Classic.
