EVANSTON, Ill. -- Junior Felicitas Lenz (Altadena, Calif./Polytechnic School) has been named the Big Ten Diver of the Week for the third time in her career after sweeping both springboards in a season-opening Northwestern win at conference rival Illinois.

Lenz began her season with a bang as the only competitor to score more than 300 points in both diving events last Friday. Lenz won the 3-meter board with a score of 334.65, annihilating the second-place total by 51.68 points. On the 1-meter board, Lenz also was the lone competitor to crack the 300-point barrier, scoring a 306.67 tally to win by 27.98 points. Both of her totals were NCAA Zone qualification marks.

Lenz, who wore her Northwestern suit while competing for her native Germany and finishing 10th overall in the 3-meter springboard event at this summer's World University Games in China, also won the Big Ten weekly accolade twice as a freshman in 2009-10.

Lenz shares this week's honor with Indiana's Lauren Ryan.
