Northwestern Lacrosse 'Paints the Lake' Purple This Season

Evanston, Ill. - Fans are invited to help "Paint the Lake" Purple on Sunday, April 18th when the Northwestern Wildcats take on the North Carolina Tar Heels in a rematch of the 2009 NCAA National Championship title game. Fans are encouraged to wear purple to in support of the 'Cats and to provide a great setting for the first ever live broadcast of a women's lacrosse match on the Big Ten Network! To help create a sea of purple for this important game, the first 750 fans in attendance will receive a free Northwestern Lacrosse t-shirt courtesy of CertaPro Painters. Here is a complete list of promotions for this game:
Lacrosse Day
All area lacrosse teams are specially invited to Lakeside Field for the game. Wildcat players will be available after the game to meet fans and give autographs.
Scout Day
Scout troops are invited to come to the match at the group rate of $2. The first 250 scouts will receive Northwestern Athletics patches! All Scout troops that pre-register will be recognized pre-match on the field. Northwestern players will be available on the field post match for autographs and to meet the scouts.
Paint the Lake Purple with CertaPro Painters
This rematch of the 2009 National Championship Game will be the first women's lacrosse match broadcast live on the Big Ten Network! The first 750 fans in attendance will receive a free purple Northwestern Lacrosse t-shirt to help make the stands a sea of purple for this important game! Buffalo
Wild Wings Halftime Hot Shots
At halftime of every regular season home match, all fans will be invited to come down onto the field and shoot for prizes. Fans will line up and take turns attempting to shoot a tennis ball at a small hole in a target using a lacrosse stick. If they make it into the hole, they win a gift certificate from Buffalo Wild Wings.
