2010 Northwestern Lacrosse Season Ticket Form
EVANSTON, Ill. -- Northwestern fans now have a chance to support head coach Kelly Amonte Hiller's Wildcat lacrosse team as season tickets for the five-time defending national champions are currently on sale. To order tickets, call 847-491-CATS or fill out an order form at any Wildcat men's basketball home game.
"Our fans have been amazing for us and we're looking forward to seeing them back at Lakeside Field this upcoming season," Amonte Hiller said. "We have a great home schedule this year, including Georgetown, Notre Dame, North Carolina and Virginia, as well as conference opponents Vanderbilt, Johns Hopkins and Florida. It will be an exciting year and hopefully we'll get even more fans to come watch this fast and exciting game."
Tabbed as the preseason's number one team by Lacrosse Magazine, Amonte Hiller and the Wildcats get the 2010 slate underway on February 6th when they travel to San Diego, Calif., to take on Massachusetts in a rematch of last year's NCAA first-round pairing on Saturday, Feb. 6. Northwestern's first home game will be against sixth-ranked Georgetown on Saturday, March 6.
The Hoyas are the first of five ranked teams to visit Evanston, as Notre Dame (No. 9), North Carolina (No. 3), Vanderbilt (No. 11) and Virginia (No. 8) highlight the home schedule. The NCAA final rematch against the Tar Heels and the showdown with the Cavaliers will also be televised on the Big Ten Network, marking the first women's lacrosse games broadcast on the network.
The Wildcats, who finished 23-0 in 2009 en route to their fifth-straight national championship, return 18 letterwinners and eight starters in 2010, including All-American attackers Katrina Dowd and Danielle Spencer.
Once again this year, the `Cats will be holding their games at the beautiful Lakeside Field, a venue in which they have won an NCAA record 54 consecutive home contests. The home season is right around the corner, with the first game on March 6th vs. preseason #6 Georgetown, so act now before it is too late to ensure that you will be in the stands to watch this team continue to make history.
