Wildcats Add One For 2009 Campaign

EVANSTON, Ill. -
Northwestern head men's soccer coach Tim Lenahan has announced that Alex Male has accepted admission to the University and intends to play for the Wildcats during the 2009 season. Male joins seven individuals who previously signed National Letters of Intent in comprising next season's freshman class.

Scored winning goal in overtime state quarterfinal win en route to the Hawklets winning the state championship ... Coach Lenahan on Male: "Alex is a great pickup for us late in the recruiting process. He was the leading scorer at Rockhurst for a team that won back-to-back state championships. He suffered a knee injury his senior year, but we saw enough of him at our College Training Center this past summer and with his club team to realize he is a special talent. He is a natural goal scorer and once he recovers fully from his injury, I am sure he will be a very good player at the Big Ten level."
