Head coach Tim Lenahan will welcome seven new Wildcats into the fold for the 2009 campaign.

Wildcats Add Seven for 2009 Season

EVANSTON, Ill. - Northwestern head men's soccer coach Tim Lenahan has announced the addition of seven individuals who will join the squad for the 2009 season. The group includes three defenders, two midfielders, a forward and a goalkeeper.

"This is a deep and talented class that is very well-rounded," Lenahan said. "We have added players on all parts of the field, some of whom we expect to help immediately. All the players have great experience as Regional level players and all come from successful high schools. Most importantly, all are character guys with the drive and determination that has been the staple of Northwestern Soccer and our success over the last few years. All seven players attended our summer camp."

Northwestern posted a 15-5-3 record during the 2008 season and made its second appearance in the NCAA quarterfinal round in the last three years.

Jarrett Baughman

He showed a real flair for the dramatic in scoring the game-winner for New Trier in the Illinois state championship game. We got a great look at him at our College Soccer Training Center and were very impressed with his overall play."
