2009 Lacrosse Season Ticket Order Form
EVANSTON, Ill. -- Northwestern fans now have a chance to support Coach Kelly Amonte Hiller's Wildcat lacrosse team as it begins its quest for a fifth national championship. Season tickets for the four-time defending national champions are currently on sale. To order tickets, call 847-491-CATS or fill out an order form at any Wildcat men's basketball home game.
"Our fans have been amazing for us and we're looking forward to seeing them back at Lakeside Field this upcoming season," Amonte Hiller said. "We have a great home schedule this year, including all three of last year's final four teams, as well as conference opponents Ohio State and Penn State. It will be an exciting year and hopefully we'll get even more fans to come watch this fast and exciting game."
Tabbed as the preseason's number one team by both Lacrosse Magazine and the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association, the Wildcats have already started the season with a bang with two routs against Denver University and Team Canada in the Surfside Cup. The team returns all but two starters on a senior-laden club, including 2008 Tewaaraton Trophy winner Hannah Nielsen and two-time NCAA Championship MVP Hilary Bowen, as well as an incoming freshman class which is arguably one of the top in the nation.
Once again this year, the `Cats will be holding their games at the beautiful Lakeside Field, a venue in which they have won an NCAA record 44 consecutive home contests. Evanston will be host to a number of exciting matches including bouts against Syracuse, Duke and Penn, last season's other Final Four participants, who are ranked second, third and sixth respectively in the preseason polls. The home season is right around the corner, with the first game on March 12th, so act now before it is too late to ensure that you will be in the stands to watch this team continue to make history.
