Wildcats Announce Challenging Fall Schedule

EVANSTON, Ill. -- Fresh off its fourth-straight national championship, Northwestern announced its fall lacrosse schedule. The Wildcats face five teams who qualified for the NCAA tournament in the spring, as well as rematches with Championship opponents Penn and Syracuse.

The `Cats begins the schedule hosting an alumni game Friday, Oct. 3, at 7:30 p.m. at Lakeside Field. NU then hosts Detroit Mercy Friday, Oct. 10, at 7 p.m., followed by Notre Dame Wednesday, Oct. 15, at 6 p.m.

Northwestern then travels to Princeton, N.J., to compete in the Princeton Fall Ball Tournament on Sat., Oct. 18. NU kicks off the tournament with a championship game rematch against Penn before facing North Carolina, Syracuse and the host Tigers, with games limited to just 35 minutes.

The Wildcats and the Tarheels will then face each other Sunday, Oct. 19, at 12 noon at Radnor High School. The fall schedule wraps up with the Purple and White scrimmage Saturday, Oct. 25, at 9:30 a.m.
