Five Wildcats Named to Tewaaraton Trophy Watch List

EVANSTON, Ill. -- Five Wildcats are among 44 women named to the 2008 Warrior Tewaaraton Trophy watch list. Goalkeeper Morgan Lathrop (Briarcliff, N.Y./The Hackley School), defender Christy Finch (Hudson, Ohio/Hudson), midfielder Meredith Frank (Westwood, Mass./Westwood) and attackers Hilary Bowen (Rochester, N.Y./Brighton) and Hannah Nielsen (Adelaide, Australia/Brighton Secondary) were named by the Selection Committee as early season hopefuls for the award.
The Tewaaraton Trophy is recognized as the pre-eminent lacrosse award honoring the top female and male varsity collegiate lacrosse player in the United States. Former Wildcat Kristen Kjellman became the first two-time winner, capturing the award in 2006 and 2007.
