EVANSTON, Ill. -- Northwestern fans now have the opportunity to become part of the program that continues to make Northwestern history. Season tickets for the three-time defending national champion women's lacrosse team go on sale Monday, January 21. The Wildcats, who will be playing their home games at the brand new Lakeside Field, open their eight-game home schedule against Duquesne at 4 p.m. Friday March 7. Northwestern's home slate features three games to be played under the lights at the new stadium.

"We are really excited about playing our first season at our new facility," head coach Kelly Amonte Hiller said. "With the momentum we've been able to create with our success, we believe we are moving into a new era of women's lacrosse at Northwestern. We appreciate the support our fans have provided us and we hope that will continue. We hope to create even more momentum for our program and the entire athletic department."

This year's squad, ranked preseason No. 1 by Lacrosse Magazine, returns seven starters from the team that won NU's third-straight national title. 2007 Tewaaraton finalist Hannah Nielsen and All-Americans Meredith Frank and Hilary Bowen accounted for 172 goals and 296 points last season, while 2007 IWLCA Defender of the Year Christy Finch and 2007 Inside Lacrosse Goalkeeper of the Year Morgan Lathrop will anchor the back line.

"We are incredibly proud of the Northwestern women's lacrosse program," Associate Athletic Director Noreen Morris said. "Not only have they achieved greatness on the field, but they have done so while serving as excellent role models off the field. Implementing season ticket sales for the women's lacrosse team was the obvious next step in supporting the continued growth and dominance of this program. Northwestern is the premiere team in the country and we're thrilled to share the excitement with our fans."

For as little as $35 for adults or $20 for youth (age 18 and under), fans not only receive admission to all regular season home games (including the Friends of Jaclyn Pediatric Brain Tumor Awareness College Lacrosse Challenge), but season ticket holders will also be invited to an exclusive Wildcat practice and Meet & Greet with Coach Amonte Hiller and the Wildcat team.

Plus, season ticket holders will be randomly recognized throughout the season at home games and will be entered to win one of eight great prize packs to show the lacrosse team's appreciation of your support.
