EVANSTON, Ill. -- Northwestern travels to No. 13 Michigan this weekend for its final road dual meet of the season, facing the Wolverines at 1 p.m. CT Saturday, Jan. 19.
The Wildcats are 5-3 on the dual-meet season entering this weekend. Michigan marks the sixth opponent for NU this year that has been ranked or receiving votes in the College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) poll at some time in 2007-08.
The Wolverines are 3-1 entering this weekend, but have not swum in a dual meet since November 2. Since then, UM has competed in a trio of invitationals at Texas A&M, Eastern Michigan and Notre Dame. Michigan hosts Michigan State Friday, Jan. 18, before the Wildcats arrive in Ann Arbor.
Michigan has won the last two meetings between the schools, but Northwestern earned a huge win in the series on Jan. 22, 2005, with a Senior Day upset of the then-No. 8 Wolverines.
Following Saturday's meet with Michigan, Northwestern returns to Evanston next Saturday, Jan. 26, for a 1 p.m. CT contest against Ohio State. That meet will mark this season's Senior Day for the Wildcats.
