Wildcats Finish Preseason Schedule

Foley finished the 2006 campaign with five goals and 12 points, which were both good for third best on the team.

EVANSTON, Ill.--- Senior Christina Foley (Cape Elizabeth, Maine/Cape Elizabeth) provided the game's lone goal for Northwestern in a 5-1 loss to the Chicago Field Hockey Club mixed team Saturday at Lakeside Field.

Saturday's defeat marked the end of the preseason schedule for NU, as the `Cats finish their schedule with a 1-1 record. Last Saturday, NU faced the CFHC team, and came away victorious 3-0.

CFHC quickly opened the contest with two strikes. NU's sole response came on a rocket shot by Foley, the redshirt senior. Katie Charles (Worthington, Ohio/Thomas Worthington) and Amanda Care (Newtown, Pa./Pennsbury) assisted on the goal.

Next Saturday, NU begins the regular season with its first of four straight home games at 1 p.m. against Central Michigan.
