EVANSTON, Ill. -- Fans and supporters of Northwestern's women's golf team will have a chance to enjoy a great day of golf and support the Wildcats' program at the same time when Northwestern plays host to the Wildcat Golf Classic at Wilmette Golf Club on Monday, May 7.

The main event of the day is a best-shot tournament, where foursomes of golfers will combine their efforts to try to shoot the lowest score while also competing in longest drive, straightest drive, closest to the pin and putting contests.

The $175 fee for each golfer also includes clinics before and after the round, as well as a boxed lunch.

Sponsorship opportunities for the tournament ranging from $300 to $2,500 are also available as a way to support the women's golf program.

The Wildcats have chosen Wilmette Golf Club as the site of this year's event. The par-70 course includes a wide range of tees and is an enjoyable and challenging test for all levels of golfers.

Registration on the day of the tournament begins at 9:45 a.m. and continues until noon with tee times for the event starting at 10:30 a.m.

If you are interested in participating in the Wildcat Golf Classic, you can reach Northwestern women's golf at (847) 491-9952.
