Wildcats Roll at NU Duals

EVANSTON, Ill. -
Northwestern dominated all 10 of its fencing opponents at the NU Duals held Saturday at Patten Gymnasium. Of the 27 bouts held against each foe, the closest any team came to the Wildcats was Indiana which was still dominated by a 23-4 score.
No other school won more than two of the 27 possible bouts against NU.
In the foil, the Wildcats posted an impressive 77-4 record on the day with Sam Nemecek, Natalie Wang, Lisa Sachs, Karolyn Szot and Irisa Chen each going undefeated.
Northwestern went 75-6 in the sabre as Liz Sachs, Gina Annunziato and Adrienne Shon each went through the competition without a loss.
NU was equally outstanding in the epée as Christa French, Joanna Niklinska, Nicole Tilley and Sarah Henning all posted perfect records.
The Wildcats will return to action Nov. 9-12 when they travel to Dallas for the Junior North American Cup.
