Mosolova Wins Indoor Championship Consolation Draw

COLUMBUS, Ohio-- Freshman Maria Mosolova (Moscow, Russia) won four-consecutive matches in the consolation draw of the ITA National Indoor Championships that concluded on Sunday with Mosolova defeating teammate Georgia Rose (Mettawa, Ill./North Shore Country Day) in Columbus, Ohio.
In the semifinal match on Saturday, Mosolova beat out Megan Moulton-Levy of William & Mary, 6-4, 2-6, 6-1, to reach Sunday's final. Rose got the finals by way of defeating Reka Zsilinszka of Duke, 6-0, 6-4.
Mosolova then played Sunday's finals against Rose, which ended in a 7-6(4), 6-3 victory for Mosolova to win the draw.
The third of NU's trio to play in the tournament was Samantha Murray (Altrincham, England/Altrincham Grammar), who got to the round of 16 before falling to Kristi Miller of Georgia Tech.
