Wildcats Remain in Hunt at Lady Paladin

GREENVILLE, S.C.-- Northwestern women's golf team stayed consistent with its day one total to shoot a 310 on Saturday for the second consecutive round, which is good for seventh place at the Lady Paladin Invitational at the Furman University Golf Course in Greenville, S.C.
Rebecca Lederhausen (Hinsdale, Ill./Hinsdale Central) shot a second-round 78, which put her in the team lead and tied for 19th overall with one round of golf remaining on Sunday. Jennifer Hong (Windermere, Fla./The First Academy), who led the team after day one, is in 31st place overall and second on the team.
Three other 'Cats remain in the top 75 in the tournament as Katie Trachok (Pittsburgh, Pa./Upper St. Clair), Kelsey Lindenschmidt (West Chester, Ohio/Ursuline Academy) and Brittany Johnston (Akron, Ohio/Walsh Jesuit) all put together strong second rounds to help the Wildcats.
Trachok showed the most improvement between the first two days of the tournament and improved on her score by nine strokes from yesterday's total. Lindenschmidt has shot a 79 both days of the tournament.
The final day of the Lady Paladin begins Sunday for the tournament title.
