Day One: 'Cats Arrive In Boston for NCAA Finals

BOSTON - The Northwestern Wildcats arrived in Boston Wednesday in preparation for their 2006 title defense. It marked a homecoming for several of the Wildcat student-athletes, including head coach Kelly Amonte Hiller who hails from Thayer Academy in the Boston area.
Wildcats reigning from Boston include Sarah Albrecht, Kristen Kjellman, Meredith Frank, Laura Glassanos, Caitlin Jackson, manager Andrea Doherty and Amonte Hiller.
The team touched down in Boston around 2 p.m. before checking into the team hotel an hour later and heading to Thayer Academy (Amonte Hiller, Glassanos and Albrecht's former school) for a 90 minute practice in preparation for top-seeded Duke Friday at 6 p.m. ET.
The day ended with an Italian meal at VinnyT's of Boston before heading back to the hotel.
Thursday's agenda includes an 11 a.m. practice at Boston University's Nickerson Field before the NCAA banquet later that evening.
