Wildcats Announce Spring Schedule

EVANSTON, Ill. -- Coming off one of the most successful seasons in program history, Northwestern's men's soccer team is set to face a host of top competition during its spring schedule as it looks to take another step toward becoming one of the premier soccer programs in the nation in 2006.
The spring season starts on Saturday, April 1, as the 'Cats travel to Madison, Wis., to face UW-Green Bay and the University of Wisconsin. The Wildcats will face the Phoenix at 1:30 p.m. before taking the pitch with the host Badgers at 4 p.m.
On Saturday, April 8, NU returns to DeKalb, Ill., where they posted a perfect 2-0 record last season at the NIU Adidas/Baymont Inn Invitational. NU is slated to meet Northern Illinois at 4 p.m. before facing area foe Illinois-Chicago at 5:30 p.m.
Four days later, the 'Cats return to action when they travel to Loyola (Ill.) to face Loyola and NCAA qualifier UW-Milwaukee. NU will play the Ramblers at 7 p.m. before facing the Panthers for an 8 p.m. match.
On Friday, April 21, the Wildcats travel to 2005 NCAA qualifier Bradley to face the Braves in an 8 p.m. match.
Northwestern's spring season continues as the Wildcats head north to Kenosha, Wis., to face a top Division II team in UW-Parkside and Marquette on Saturday, April 29. The Wildcats will face the host Rangers at 10 a.m. before they play the Golden Eagles at 11:15 a.m.
The Wildcats' spring season concludes as they host their annual alumni game at 9:45 a.m. Saturday, May 13. Following the match, the Wildcats will host their Cubs Rooftop Game Fundraiser at 1:20 p.m. Tickets are available by calling 847-491-9998.
