EVANSTON, Ill. -- Junior Alice Kim (Los Angeles, Calif./Brentwood), the 2004 Big Ten Freshman of the Year and a second-team All-Big Ten selection in 2005, began the spring season with a fifth-place finish at the Central District Invitational, and earned Big Ten Golfer of the Week honors.
She opened the tournament with a 2-under 70, which equaled the low round for the tournament field. The round of 70 is also one of the lowest scores in Northwestern history. Kim finished the event with a 7-over 223 (70-74-79).
This is the second career Golfer of the Week award for Kim, as she earned her first on March 4, 2004.
