EVANSTON, Ill. -- Freshman Andrea Hupman (Lawrenceville, Ga./Brookwood) and sophomore Matt Grevers (Lake Forest, Ill./Lake Forest) will compete for the United States at the World University Games Aug. 11-21 in Izmir, Turkey.

Hupman will swim the 400 free relay while Grevers will participate in the 100 freestyle, the 50 and 100 backstroke and the 400 free relay.

Both swimmers qualified at the World Championships Trials held April 1-6 in Indianapolis, Ind.

Grevers finished third in the 100 back, after nailing down a 54.24 in a swimoff. He captured 10th in the 100 freestyle with a time of 50.36 after swimming a 50.27 in the prelims.

Hupman earned a 10th-place finish in the 100 free with a time of 56.30.

Hupman is coming off an honorable mention All-America performance in the 100 free at the NCAA Championships.

Grevers earned seven All-America accolades this year, including the national championship in the 100 backstroke.
