EVANSTON, Ill. - Junior Lindsey Munday was named the American Lacrosse Conference (ALC) Player of the Week and also earned a spot on the womenslacrosse.com National Honor Roll. She was honored after a pair of standout performances last week, against Notre Dame and ALC foe Ohio.

Munday scored three goals and tied a modern record with five assists as the Wildcats knocked off the Fighting Irish, 18-11, Thursday; she followed that up with four goals in NU's 16-3 win over Ohio. Munday's eight-point effort vs. Notre Dame fell one point shy of the modern era record (since 2002).

The womenslacrosse.com honor is Munday's second of the season from the website devoted to women's lacrosse. She was its National Player of the Week the week of Feb. 21.

Munday leads the Wildcats in scoring this season, with 14 goals and 10 assists for 24 points (an average of 4.8 per game).

No. 3 Northwestern (5-0) hosts its first game of the season Saturday, taking on No. 20 Penn at the Thomas Athletic Complex. Faceoff is scheduled for 12:30 p.m.
