EVANSTON, Ill. - Sixth-ranked Northwestern travels to Detroit, Mich. this Sunday, March 6 to compete in the NCAA Midwest Regional.

The `Cats will look to capitalize on the momentum of a strong showing at the Midwest Conference Championships last weekend, at which they took third. It was the third-consecutive third-place finish for Northwestern.

Head Coach Laurie Schiller's squad - packed with six first-team all-conference performers - is poised to make a strong run as the team makes their push into the postseason.

Senior Foilest Julia Földi (Budapest, Hungary/Szent Istavan Gimnazium) continues her quest to become Schiller's first four-time all-American.

Following this weekend's competition, the next step in NCAA competition will be the Championships, held March 17-20 in Houston, Texas. Last year, the `Cats finished 6th out of 25 teams.
