Wildcats Win 30th of the Season

EVANSTON, Ill. - Make that 30 wins and counting for the sixth-ranked Wildcats. Northwestern swept the competition at the San Diego Duals Saturday to improve to 30-3 on the year. All told, the 'Cats went 4-0 on the day.
Northwestern began the day with a 21-6 win over UC-San Diego, with the foil squad posting a 9-0 mark, while the epee and saber squads each went 6-3.
The 'Cats next defeated California Institute of Technology by a score of 23-4.
The foil team swept again against Air Force, as Northwestern beat the Falcons 22-5.
"We beat a very good Air Force team today," Head Coach Laurie Schiller said. "The score may not look that way, but they were a tough team, and I'm very happy with how we competed."
The Wildcats will travel to the Temple Duals next weekend, where they will have three individual dual matches.
