Sixth-ranked Northwestern travels to California this weekend for bouts against Stanford and San Diego.

'Cats Travel to Face Stanford

EVANSTON, Ill. - Sixth-seeded Northwestern (25-3) travels to Stanford for a Thursday, Feb. 3 bout against a team that holds a 7-4 all-time advantage over the Wildcats.

The Cardinal has received votes in the national polls, but have yet to crack the top-10, while Northwestern holds strong at the No. 6 spot.

The 'Cats have four fencers who have already achieved 40 wins on the year.

In the foil, senior all-American Candidate Julia Foldi (Budapest, Hungary/Szent Istavan Gimnazium) and sophomore Jessica Florendo (Forest Hills, N.Y./The Dwight School) have posted 40-4 and 41-7 marks, respectively.

Senior sabreists Lauren Dunn (Fair Oaks, Calif./Del Campo) and Lauren Van Gieson (Wayne, N.J./Wayne Valley) are 40-7 and 43-8, respectively.

Northwestern will stay in California through the weekend, as the 'Cats participate in the San Diego Duals Saturday, Feb. 5.
