EVANSTON, Ill. -- The Big Ten announced the Academic All-Big Ten teams for the 2005 fall season today, and a total of 57 Northwestern student-athletes were honored. The sports honored for the fall were cross country, field hockey, football, men's and women's soccer and volleyball.
To earn Academic All-Big Ten recognition, an athlete must be in his/her second year at the institution, letter in his/her sport, and have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better.
