EVANSTON, Ill. -- For the third time in the last four seasons, Northwestern is headed to the NCAA Tournament. The Wildcats received an at-large bid into the field and will face Texas A&M (16-13, 9-11 Big 12) in South Bend, Ind.

The Wildcats will face the Aggies at 4 p.m. CT Thursday at the Joyce Center on the campus of Notre Dame. The No. 6-seeded Irish then will face Dayton at 6:30 p.m. CT Thursday in the site's other match.

The winners of Thursday's matches will play at 6:30 p.m. CT Friday night.

The berth is the seventh overall for Northwestern, which went 7-3 over its final 10 matches this season to finish sixth in the Big Ten with a 19-11 record, 10-10 in the conference.

"We are thrilled to be in the tournament," NU head coach Keylor Chan said. "It will be an exciting week of practice and matches. We are proud of the team for working hard, especially during the second half of the Big Ten schedule."
