EVANSTON, Ill. - Learn fencing fundamentals in a fun atmosphere at Northwestern University's Winter 2006 fencing clinics! The programs are for people of all ages who would like to try the sport, and for experienced fencers who would like to improve their skills.

A typical session includes a warm-up, stretching, footwork, light conditioning, one-on-one lessons and bouting. Coaches include Northwestern University head fencing coach Laurie Schiller, assistant coach Ed Kaihatsu, and members of Northwestern University's men's and women's fencing teams.

Clinics will be held each Wednesday night from January 11 through March 1 (6:30pm-8pm each night). The programs are held in Evanston at Patten Gym - 2407 Sheridan Road. Fencing equipment will be provided, if needed. Please contact Ed Kaihatsu at (847) 491-2900 or e-kaihatsu@northwestern.edu to register or for more information.
