EVANSTON, Ill. -- Northwestern hits the road this weekend for its last regular-season road games. The Wildcats resume conference play Friday at Ohio State, then face Butler on Sunday.

The Wildcats, who are riding a four-game unbeaten streak, went 1-1 last weekend after beating 2004 NCAA qualifier Loyola Marymount on the road, then playing to a 1-1 draw with Princeton.

On Friday, Northwestern's defense was stifling, keeping a talented Loyola Marymount offense at bay. Junior forward Brad North (The Woodlands, Texas/The Woodlands) scored his seventh goal of the season, while Kevin Earnest (Lombard, Ill./Benet Academy) notched his second score of the year.

After traveling roughly 2,800 miles from Los Angeles to Princeton, N.J., the 'Cats matched up with the Princeton Tigers Sunday. Princeton lit up the scoreboard first just nine minutes into the match. After going into the half down by one, Northwestern came out of the break and rattled off eight second-half shots. Junior forward Gerardo Alvarez (Aurora, Ill./Marmion Academy) sent one of those to the net when he scored on a free kick from the top of the box.

This week, Northwestern first faces an Ohio State team that went 1-0-1 last weekend after beating Oakland, then coming back from a two-goal deficit to tie Indiana.

The Buckeyes, who are ranked 10th in the NSCAA Great Lakes region, are 3-2-1 in their last six games. Kevin Nugent and Xavier Balc lead the OSU in scoring. Nugent has tallied 16 points on six goals and four assists, while Balc has 14 points on five goals and four assists.

On Sunday, Northwestern travels to Indianapolis to hit the pitch with Butler (9-7, 2-4). The Bulldogs have lost five-straight matches entering the weekend and currently stand at fifth in the Horizon League standings. Last week, Butler fell to Wright State and No. 7 Indiana.

The Bulldogs are led by freshman forward Eduardo Garcia who has 10 points this season. Junior goalkeeper Frank Peabody has recorded six shutouts this season
