EVANSTON, Ill. -- Just two weeks after Northwestern claimed both the Big Ten Swimmer and Diver of the Week honors simultaneously for the first time in program history, the Wildcats have done it again.

Senior Brielle Bovee (Winter Park, Fla./Lake Highland Prep) has earned the Swimmer of the Week nod while sophomore diver Leanne Dumais (Ventura, Calif./Buena) has received her second Diver of the Week award of the season.

Bovee swept all four individual events she competed in over the weekend, helping the Wildcats to a 2-0 record on the week, with wins over Illinois (173-136) and No. 8 Michigan (168-132). Against Illinois she set career bests and provisional times in both the 100- (1:03.66) and 200-yard (2:16.51) breastroke events.

Bovee bettered her 100-yard breaststroke time against Michigan as she finished first in 1:03.62 and also claimed the event title in the 200-yard breastroke for the second straight meet. As part of the winning 400-yard medley relay team, she swam a 1:04.22 breaststroke split.

Dumais claimed four events titles last week for the Wildcats. The sophomore dominated the competition on Friday against Illinois with victories off the 1- (270.60) and 3-meter (284.25) boards. She followed with a repeat performance on Saturday as the Wildcats outdistanced the Wolverines to claim their third victory over a ranked opponent this season.

Dumais held off Michigan diver Elyse Lee by just .15 points to win the 1-meter (268.65) competition and finished first off the 3-meter board with 273.68 points.

Freshman Andrea Hupman (Lawrenceville, Ga./Brookwood) joined Dumais in sweeping the Big Ten accolades for the week of January 11.
